No strangers to live collaborations, Foo Fighters were joined on stage by country icon Shania Twain during their headline set at Austin City Limits in Texas on Saturday night (7th October).

After performing ‘Monkey Wrench’ at Zilker Park, Dave Grohl introduced their fellow Austin City Limits headliner Shania Twain on stage.

The Foos then proceeded to belt out their 2005 anthem ‘Best of You’ with Grohl sharing vocal duties with the flame-haired Shania Twain.

Artists Foo Fighters have welcomed on stage in recent months and years include Rick Astley, Billy Idol, Alanis Morissette, Michael Bublé, and Taylor Hawkins’ son Shane.

Earlier this month, Dave Grohl paid emotional tribute to “hometown hero” Taylor Hawkins at Foo Fighters’ headline performance at Ohana Festival.

Ohana Festival is held annually at Dana Point in Southern California just seven miles down the road from Laguna Beach where Taylor Hawkins was raised after moving with his family from Texas aged four.

Grohl said: “We had good times down here, so I knew that tonight would be kind of heavy because we are here where Taylor grew up, but I want this next song to be a celebration of his life, all right?”

With his voice cracking, he added before launching into ‘Aurora’: “This is the first song that we wrote together and we’ll play it every night for the rest of our lives.”

Foo Fighters play sold out UK stadium shows in Manchester, Glasgow, London, Cardiff and Birmingham next summer.
