Kane Brown has been hanging out with Elaina D. Smith, just as his newest single, "Like I Love Country Music", goes to number one. And what a smash hit it is! Also if you haven't checked out the music video, you're missing out on some serious line dancing and 90s vibes.

Kane hadn’t been able to perform the song the last time he and Elaina spoke. But Kane has been performing "Like I Love Country Music" at festivals this summer. Has it been wild out on the road?

“It’s funny because we have a big screen behind us and Like I Love Country Music pops up and everybody screams at that first note." Kane told Absolute Radio Country. "It’s been awesome to hear people singing it back already. It's been an amazing feeling.”

Especially when he didn’t think it was going to be as big of a hit as it is. “You never know what to expect. I never want to go in thinking everything’s going to work out fine. I go in with the lowest expectation and hope for the best. I’m very pleased.”

Kane's new album, Different Man, is out on September 9th 2022. What can we expect from his third record? “I have a lot of songs that sound like this. We added two songs that are more pop leaning, other than that, every song is in the same realm as "Like I Love Country Music". I will say we do have some bluesy-rock songs, too. I’m definitely to a point now where I’m finding where I sit. I’ve been searching and found where my sound’s going to start hitting.”

That's not all the good news, either. Next year he’s coming back to the UK! “I’ve been over there before and this will be bigger this time. I’m excited to see just how much bigger I don’t know yet. I’m very curious."

Everyone from Nashville always talks about how the fans are totally different in the UK to the US fans. Does Kane share that opinion?

“It’s definitely different because they don’t have all the radio stations we have over here so if they’re fans of you, they know every song. Super deep cuts. It’s very interesting to hear them call out the songs they want you to play.”

“I wasn’t prepared last time! They were telling us to play songs we hadn’t played in a while so I didn’t even really remember the lyrics. But this time I’ll have to go deep in the playbook.”

His next trip across the pond will be extra special because he'll be bringing along his wife, Katelyn Brown, with him. "The last time I was in the UK I didn’t have my wife with me so I just chilled in my hotel room so I didn’t explore without her so she’ll get to be there so we can check it out a little bit more.”

If Katelyn is coming over with him, does this mean they'll perform the duet from his new album? “I don’t know if she’ll perform or not. Coin toss.”
