Body found in River Ayr near Catrine

The body of a woman, believed to be in her 30's, has been pulled from the River Ayr near Catrine.

Police and emergency services were called to the scene at around 6:20am this morning.

The body's still to be identified and a post mortum will be carried out in due course.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
