Coronavirus business support fund launched by Glasgow City Council

Glasgow City Council is offering support for businesses which have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
It's after most businesses closed down at the end of last week in a bid to battle the disease.
The Scottish Government Coronavirus Business Support Fund is available to help businesses deal with the impact of COVID-19.
The one-off grants are in a bid to help protect jobs, prevent business closure and promote economic recovery.
Small businesses with a rateable value up to £18,000 are eligible and can claim a grant of £10,000.
Retail, hospitality and leisure business ratepayers with a rateable value between £18,001 - £50,999 can apply for a one-off grant of £25,000.
Graham Smith, business growth manager at Glasgow City Council, said:
"Businesses that rely on footfall are definitely hardest hit.
"Gyms, leisure centres, cafes, restaurants as well as shops are all key in arms of getting money out and getting support to them.
"There is grant support available for all these businesses and the information is up on the Glasgow City Council website for businesses to access, complete the application and get back to us so we can begin the process of getting money out to businesses."
Businesses are being asked to submit full applications when applying for this fund.
Applications should include a Rates Return Number and a copy of the Business Bank Statement, and should be sent as one email to COVIDbusinessgrant@glasgow.gov.uk.
The deadline for applications is 31 March 2021.
