Police have recovered the body of a man from the River Clyde, after hours of searching.

Emergency services were spotted sweeping the area near the George V Bridge, after being called at around 9:45am.

They were assisted by air and rescue boat teams, while a cordon was taped off around the walkway and bridge.

Police Scotland said: "The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
