Woman seriously assaulted at property in Kirkintilloch

The 41-year-old was attacked at an address in Townhead around midnight on Thursday

Police are appealing for information after a woman was seriously assaulted in Townhead, Kirkintilloch, on Thursday.

The incident happened around 11.55pm and the 41-year-old was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

Officers are keen to trace two men who were seen at the scene.

Both suspects were in their late teens with dark hair.

The first suspect was wearing a dark jacket and shorts with a cap. The second suspect was wearing a light blue t-shirt.

Detective Inspector Kenneth McDonald said:

“A woman sustained serious injuries as a result of this incident and we are asking anyone who may have seen the two men or have any information to get in touch.

“Anyone who was driving in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage that could help with our enquiries is also asked to contact police.

“If you can assist officers then please call us on 101, quoting incident number 4315 of Thursday, 21 July, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
