The exclusive partnership with Downtown & Cool FM (supporting football with the IFA) was announced today by Northern Ireland manager, Michael O’Neill – at a special launch in Windsor Park, Belfast.

The IFA prides itself on being one of the giants of world football and the unique collaboration will help support a formidable legacy for local football.

Downtown & Cool FM Managing Director, Mark Mahaffy said: “Starting with the build-up to the Euros, we will be working closely together to promoting the superb work already carried out by the IFA and helping to raise the profile of the sport here even higher.

“The Euros in June are one of the most anticipated sporting spectacles in years.

“It is the first time Northern Ireland have qualified for this prestigious tournament and the atmosphere during qualification last October was incredible.

“We are simply honoured to be part of this – it is a really exciting time for the sport.

“We want to play our part in the game right from the grassroots – and support the development of our national sport right to international level - encouraging young people through various bespoke programmes, to get involved at an early age.”
