Mother's Day is such a difficult day for people who have lost their mums - particularly young children and Jeff Brazier's fiancée Kate Dwyer broke down in tears of happiness after his son Freddy gave her a Mother's Day card.

Jeff, who is engaged to PR director Kate Dwyer, has been doing his best for his two sons, Bobby, 14, and 13-year-old Freddy, whose mum Jade Goody who passed away after a battle with cervical cancer in March 2009.

This year, young Fred has took it upon himself to really welcome his future step-mum, Kate Dwyer, into their family with a simple gift - but one that is of huge significance for the family.

Kate took to her Instagram, which has since been made private, to reveal that she'd been reduced to tears by Freddy's kind gesture, which saw him give her a Mother's Day card calling her a "mum in a million."

Kate wrote, 'When Fred gives me a card in the restaurant and I burst into tears 😭

'What an unbelievable gesture on a day that is unimaginably unfair for these boys. It’s not long until I am 'officially' a stepmum but it only truly counts when you earn the recognition and trust of the children involved. My heart could burst.'

Aww!

Jeff appeared on Loose Women in February, opening up about his upcoming marriage to Kate which will apparently take place this summer.

He told the panel, "I'm very happy. It’s come together really nicely. Kate's a wonderful woman. She’s got a great relationship with the boys.

"Freddy is hell-bent on having a step-mum, it really means a lot to him. There was a lot of pressure on Kate but she’s done a great job."

He even added that the couple might add to their family, confessing, "Kate's the boss on that. I would love to have a daughter."
