My Mum, Your Dad fans call for rule change after first elimination

Caroline and Clayton were eliminated from the retreat

It's safe to say Davina McCall's new dating show My Mum, Your Dad has captured the hearts of the nation! With its amazing playlist, fabulous setting and stripped-back concept, viewers have been hooked every night since the launch.

But as the series which was previously dubbed as 'middle-aged Love Island' draws to a close, eliminations have begun, with both Caroline and Clayton leaving the retreat during Tuesday night's (19th September) episode.

It was up to the relationship experts (or should we say the kids), who made the tough decision, after deciding both Caroline and Clayton hadn't found a connection with anyone during their time in the retreat.

After seeing the pair leave and be reunited with their children, fans of the show took to social media to express their disappointment, with some admitting they believe bosses should change the rules when it comes to eliminations.

One wrote: 'Don't like the way they evicted the parents for not finding a connection', with another adding: 'Hmmm… do you know I thought they’d eliminate the sure-fire couples like Natalie and Paul, because they’ve found a suitable partner, rather than the singles yet to find love, like Caroline and Clayton!! Wrong way round'. (sic)

Others expressed their love for both Caroline and Clayton, with some suggesting the pair should actually date each other.

One wrote: 'Loving the show, sad to see these 2 go, Caroline and Clayton will have won so many admirers, Caroline is such a genuine, kind person & also the kids have been so sweet but mature, good luck'. (sic)

Another commented: 'I think Clayton and Caroline would make a great couple, they are both beautiful people and also very attractive 😍😍', with a third writing: 'Clayton and Caroline should have a date they’d be so beautiful together ❤️ love them both!' (sic)
