Shock news this afternoon as Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt after just two years of marriage.
American entertainment website TMZ have reported that on Monday (19th September) Angelina filed legal documents citing irreconcilable differences.
Angelina's decision to file for divorce is believed to be over Brad's parenting methods which 'extremely upset' the 41-year-old actress, no third party is involved.
She has asked for physical custody of their six children, allowing Brad visitation rights, however she does not want him to have joint physical custody, only joint legal custody.
The actress' lawyer says the decision was made for the health of the family and has asked that they be given privacy.
Angelina is being represented by Laura Wasser, the lawyer who also advised Johnny Depp during his divorce from Amber Heard.
The couple, affectionately known by the media as Brangelina started dating in 2004, married in 2014 and have six children together Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10 and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.
The pair met on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith when Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston, four months after his divorce Brad and Angelina were pictured on holiday together with Angelina's son Maddox.
