The mother of Jack P Shepherd's child has opened up about his rare condition which temporarily paralyses parts of his body.

Five-year-old Greyson suffers from a rare condition called Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC), which causes sudden and painful paralysis to a portion of the body at random.

The attacks can happen up to once a month meaning Greyson has to take daily medication, and during an attack his mother Samantha Milewski has to use a syringe to medicate him.

Samantha has previously tweeted about the pain that her son goes through saying 'Hate seeing my lil dude poorly, just stopped him biting an pulling his arm saying mummy arm t go. Another arm mummy.' sic

Last Christmas Greyson was lucky enough to have a day without AHC affecting him as Samantha tweeted, 'Had an amazing Xmas, ahc free day for lil man.'

According to sources Jack, who plays David Platt in Corrie, has never met his son and was not aware of his condition for the first two years of his life. The Corrie actor does however pay maintenance after a DNA test confirmed that Greyson was his baby.

In 2014 Samantha said in an interview that she was disappointed that Jack didn't want to see his son saying, 'I would like my son to have a father in his life but how can you feel sad for something he’s never had? I guess it’s sad in itself to say that.'

Jack is currently engaged to Lauren Shippey who he has two children with.
