So after the frankly scandalous news that not only were Brangelina no more (yes, we're aware it happened two years ago), but that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux had also called it quits, there was only one thing on everyone's minds.

Could this mean a reunion for Jen and Brad?

It was an obvious conclusion to jump to, we feel - ESPECIALLY after it came out that they'd reconnected after years as Brad texted her on her birthday in February.

According to People, Brad had to negotiate a "tangled web" to get her number and that "they started talking once he wished her a happy birthday."

And this has reportedly now led to a meeting between the two former spouses, according to US magazine Star, who reported that George Clooney encourage them to meet - although George's side completely denied this.

A source told the publication that they enjoyed a "very relaxed and low-key" rendevous, adding, "It seemed just like old times, but better."

But that's not the best part - apparently Brad's mum, Jane, is over the moon that they caught up.

An insider told HollywoodLife.com, "Brad‘s mom Jane has always had a soft spot for Jennifer, even after the divorce they kept in touch for years.

"She hated the way things ended between Brad and Jen so it’s a big relief that they‘ve mended fences. She‘s so happy that they‘re back in touch."

They added it was "no secret" that Jane would be delighted if they got back together, as she "thinks the world of Jen and still thinks of her as part of the family."

This is a pretty MAJOR development for fans of Jen and Brad hoping that they'll get back together.
