One Direction Set To Score Their Third No.1

With their official Red Nose Day song

Published 20th Feb 2013

One Direction are firmly on course to score their third UK number one with their official Red Nose Day single ‘One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks)’.

A mash-up of classic seventies tracks by Blondie and The Undertones, the single has a strong 20,000 lead over second placed ‘Thrift Shop’ by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, according to Official Charts Company figures.

With Harry, Zayn, Niall, Liam and Louis performing the track at The BRIT Awards tonight it’s widely expected that the boys will pull away from their nearest charts rivals.

If they do remain at the chart summit on Sunday, it will be One Direction’s third UK number one following ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ in September 2011 and ‘Little Things’ last November.

It will also be the 13th official Comic Relief single to reach number one – the most recent one, The Wanted’s ‘Gold Forever’, only charted at number three.

The ‘One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks)’ video premieres tomorrow (21st February). See the latest preview right here:
