EastEnders favourite set to return to the soap in the New Year

Next year is set to be an exciting year for EastEnders fans, we'll see new family - the Ahmeds move to the Square and Tamzin Outhwaite reprise her role of Melanie Owen. And NOW it has been revealed that Maisie Smith will be reprising her role of Tiffany Butcher too!
The 16-year-old actress first joined the popular TV soap in 2008 when she was just six-years-old and immediately became a fan favourite as Bianca and Ricky's cheeky daughter.
She then appeared in EastEnders continuously until 2014, when Maisie left before briefly returning last year for Tiffany to attend Whitney's wedding to Lee Carter.
Now, returning to the Square, Tiffany is more and more like her mother, causing trouble wherever she is. However, although the reasons behind her return are being kept secret, we do know that Maisie has already started filming and will appear on screen in the New Year. So not too long for fans to wait!
Speaking about her return to the soap Maisie said, “It’s great to be back on the set of EastEnders. It’s been lovely to see some old faces and meet new ones too. I can’t wait to show everyone how much Tiffany has changed.”
The return of Tiffany is the latest in a number of changes announced for EastEnders in recent months.
Since the show's new creative director John Yorke started earlier this year we have seen the news that Tamzin Outhwaite will be reprising her previous role of Melanie Owen after a break of nearly 16 years. Like Maisie, Tamzin has already started filming and will be making an appearance on screen in the New Year.
Meanwhile former S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt has also been confirmed to join EastEnders in the coming weeks.
