The Great British Bake Off Christmas Specials to star some of our favourite contestants

Already this week we've heard which celebrities will be taking part in a Christmas special of Crystal Maze, and now we can reveal that there will be, not one, but TWO The Great British Bake Off Christmas Specials, starring some of our favourite contestants from previous series.
There will be eight former contestants returning for these two specials to be aired next month, including one of the favourites from last year's series, Selasi Gbormittah. Since leaving the show last year Selasi has opened his own pop up bakery. But, last year he just missed out on being a runner up as he left the show in the ninth episode.
Series six quarter finalist Paul Jagger will also be returning for the Christmas specials. When Paul appeared on the show back in 2015, Paul Hollywood described his bread lion as “one of the best things I’ve seen in bread… ever.”
Getting in the mood for it, Paul Jagger has already posted a photo of a deconstructed Santa Claus.
Other contestants joining the two special shows will include Rob Billington, Val Stones, Benjamina Ebuehi, Beca Lyne-Pirkis, Sandy Docherty and Rav Bansal.
Earlier this year The Great British Bake Off moved to Channel 4 for the first time in the programme's history, with Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig, and new judge Prue Leith. The series was won by track cyclist, Sophie Faldo, who impressed the judges with her Spelt Boules, Mushroom Ciabatta and Orange Plaited Brioche.
The Great Christmas Bake Off will air on Channel 4 later this Christmas.
