In news that will make fans VERY happy, stars of The Inbetweeners, Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas, will be REUNITING for a one-off special! The two-hour programme celebrates 10 years since the show first aired, and will include a selection of clips, behind-the-scenes footage and contributions from some of the show's famous fans.

According to reports the special programme will also rank the funniest moments from both the TV series and films in an awards type segment, including awards such as 'best ever moment'.

British Comedy Awards 2014

Following a group of students at Rudge Park Comprehensive, the super successful TV series may have only had three seasons, however it spawned TWO feature films, which were massively popular with fans of the show. The Inbetweeners also won countless awards including Best New TV Comedy at the British Comedy Awards 2008 and Best Comedy at the 2012 Empire Awards.

Now take a look at the biggest films from last year according to Empire magazine:

20. The Lost City Of Z

2013's The Immigrant is sadly still waiting for a UK release, so praise be to the cinematic gods that James Gray's The Lost City Of Z arrived without delay. Based on the true-life tale of British explorer Percy Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam), this dense but always gripping biopic is part political drama, part family drama and part adventure.
On discovering the remnants of an indigenous society, Fawcett spent his life trying to prove his Amazonian finds until his unexplained disappearance in 1925. Containing one of the most beautiful scenes of the year, this undseen gem deserves, nay, demands your attention.

Despite many fans hoping there will be a fourth series of the show, with a mini cast reunion earlier this year, it seems very unlikely. The Inbetweeners star Blake Harrison, who played Neil Sutherland, said shortly after the reunion, "I just don't think it would work, I think we're too old now."

Continuing, "The reason it was so funny is because you had these idiotic, ignorant lads that you let them get away with saying things that would be quite offensive. But as they get older you can't excuse it, I think."

The Inbetweeners reunion show is expected to air in December on Channel 4, however an exact date has not been confirmed.
