Top 10 TV heroes of all time have been revealed
Sherlock Holmes, Jack Bauer and Columbo are all in the list

To celebrate the launch of the new TV series 24: Legacy a poll was done to find out the most popular TV heroes.
Two thousand people were asked who their favourite TV heroes were and the results were quite surprising. Whilst the list mostly included human characters it also included Danger Mouse, everyone's favourite animated secret agent!
Game of Thrones’ Jon Snow could only manage eighth place on the list behind 24's Jack Bauer and Peter Falk's Columbo. Whilst 'current heroes' Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Who fought over the top spot with Doctor Who coming out top.
When questioned a third of the participants said they preferred current TV heroes over those from the 80s and 90s, but when it came to personal heroes most people chose their mum or dad over fictional characters.
A quarter of those questioned also said that they liked heroes who started off as an underdog and those who are witty and entertaining, with an interesting flaw.
