Hibs get SFA apology for Aberdeen handball decision
Hibernian have received an apology after VAR failed to award them a penalty during Saturday's 2-2 draw at Aberdeen.
Hibs held a meeting with Scottish Football Association representatives on Monday after they felt a "serious error" occurred in the first half of the cinch Premiership fixture.
Jordan Obita's cross hit the arm of Aberdeen defender Nicky Devlin and, while the incident was reviewed by VAR, the on-field decision of no spot-kick remained and the hosts subsequently had to settle for a point.
"The club held meetings with the Scottish FA at Hampden earlier today (19 February) to challenge the decision," a Hibernian statement read.
"The governing body outlined that the Referee Department agreed that the incident should have been referred by VAR for On-Field Review, and therefore an error was made.
"This is not the first occasion where the club has received an apology for VAR errors, and the club will continue to work with the Scottish FA regarding officiating in the Scottish game."
