Man appears in court charged with murdering Edinburgh Dad

The man accused of murdering a 30-year-old man in Edinburgh on Friday has been named.

Dylan Curran, 23, appeared in Edinburgh Sheriff Court today (June 6) charged with murdering Peter Mullen.

30-year-old Dad of three Mullen suffered serious injuries in an incident on Leith Street around 7.45pm on Friday.

He was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

Another man, aged 41, was also taken to hospital for treatment.

Curran, of Bonnyrigg in Midlothian, made no plea and was remanded in custody.

The 23-year-old was arrested yesterday in connection with the incident.

He will reappear before the court within the next eight days.
