Bruce Springsteen’s daughter Jessica will compete in the equestrian jumping team event at Equestrian Park in Tokyo this Friday (6th August).
Jessica, daughter of The Boss and wife Patti Scialfa, failed to qualify for the individual jumping finals on Tuesday (3rd August). She had to rank in the top 30 to secure her place in tomorrow’s final, but only managed position 31.
However, Jessica will compete in the team jumping event this Friday, where she will hope to qualify for the final alongside teammates Kent Farrington, McLain Ward and Laura Kraut.
The 29-year-old is the youngest member of the US showjumping team at the games in Tokyo and ranks in the world’s top 15.
Following her elimination on Tuesday, Jessica said: “All in all, I’m thrilled with the round, and I’m excited for the rest of the week.”
The daughter of the ‘Born to Run’ singer and E Street Band member Patti, Jessica has been riding her 12-year-old horse Don Juan van de Donkhoeve for two years.
Jessica is the second child of Bruce and Patti, who also have children Evan James Springsteen and Samuel Ryan Springsteen.
