Dolly Parton releases new song from her upcoming album

The single is called 'Big Dreams and Faded Jeans'

Country superstar Dolly Parton recently announced that her new album 'Run Rose Run' would be coming out on 4th March. To fans' delight, she has released her song 'Big Dreams and Faded Jeans' ahead of the album.

Dolly's new album 'Run Rose Run' is a collection of 12 songs which accompany her debut novel by the same name. The book follows the story of a woman trying to make it as a musician while running from a dark past. The novel is due to come out on 7th March, and was inspired by Dolly's own experiences in the music industry, and she shared: 'I cannot be more excited about the release of my very first novel'.

In her initial announcement about the project, Dolly said in a statement on Instagram: 'I also have a new CD to go along with the book, based on its characters and situations. I hope you enjoy the book and the songs as much as we’ve enjoyed putting it together.'

Since the single's release, comments from fans have been flooding in sharing how much they love the song. Dolly shared a message to thank her supportive fans: 'Thank you for all of the love on Big Dreams and Faded Jeans! It was a dream of mine to write this new book Run, Rose, Run with @jamespattersonbooks and I am thrilled to share this new music that was inspired by it.' (sic)

In a statement explaining the inspiration for 'Big Dreams and Faded Jeans', the singer said: 'So many people come to Nashville with their sack of songs. Whether they’re running from anything or not, they’re running towards a future.

'That’s what ‘Big Dreams And Faded Jeans’ is all about. I am so pleased to finally share the first song from this exciting new album with all of you!'

This album mark's the country legend's return to music, following her latest album 'A Holly Dolly Christmas' which came out in 2020. In another post about her new music, she said: 'This album and its stories mean so much to me and it’s a blessing to be able to tell them. Can't wait to share more!'.
