Dolly Parton shares a cute festive throwback pic 🎄
She's getting in the mood for Christmas!
Country legend Dolly Parton, who has recently released her first rock album, 'Rockstar', has now shared a festive throwback photo, to get us all in the mood for Christmas. The singer, who recently teamed up with the likes of Sir Elton John and Sir Paul McCartney on her new album, told her fans she is 'always in costume at Christmas'.
The '9 to 5' singer shared an old photo of herself with a toddler on her knee. In the photo the pair look like they are baking, as they both have flour on their faces and the toddler is reaching for some dough.
Dolly wrote in the caption: 'I’m always in costume at Christmas. If I’m not in a Santa suit, I wear reds and greens. I wear sweaters with Christmas lights on them where I push a button and I light up. My hairdresser Cheryl Riddle, even puts Christmas lights in my hair for Cookie Night. I have so many Christmas memories and more that I share in my book ‘Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones’ ❤️💚'.
Although Dolly hasn't revealed who she is holding, many of her fans have been speculating, with some suggesting it could be her goddaughter, singer Miley Cyrus, another suggested: 'It’s her sister Rachel’s kiddo Hannah', while a third commented: 'So cute💋💋💞💞🥰🥰💯💯'.
Dolly also shared two other photos on Instagram, showing off some of her Christmas outfits, including a long, full length white dress, and some red and white outfits.
In other news, it was recently announced that Dolly will be the subject of a new documentary called Dolly Parton: In Her Own Words. The documentary, set to air at the end of the month, will see Dolly talk about her career, and how it has led to her making her latest album, 'Rockstar'.
