The Traitors CONFIRMED for a third UK series

Following a hugely successful first series of The Traitors late last year, and the announcement of a second series, the BBC have delighted fans with the news that The Traitors will return for a third series, and applications are open now.
Announcing the exciting news on X, formerly Twitter, the BBC confirmed that the show would be returning for a third series, with Claudia Winkleman as the host of the popular show.
Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC, teased what was to come in a further series saying: "The massive unscripted hit The Traitors will be back for a third series. Expect to see more psychological gameplay, exciting challenges and of course Claudia at the helm. It will be a thrilling ride for both avid fans and newcomers to the series for sure. The BBC will always remain faithful to The Traitors."
With Stephen Lambert, CEO of Studio Lambert, adding: "We’re delighted a third series of The Traitors has been confirmed today ahead of the second series’ arrival on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
"The Traitors has been so warmly received by viewers, critics and award juries alike. Claudia and the team look forward to keeping audiences on the edge of their seats again with ever more thrilling missions and exceptional players competing in this gripping game of bluff and skill."
Last year's series of The Traitors brought in a massive 21 million viewers and was the biggest brand new entertainment launch for the BBC since 2021.
For those who don't know, The Traitors took place in Ardross castle in Scotland, where 22 hopefuls were looking to win up to £120,000. During the day contestants were set challenges to complete, while at night the Traitors could 'murder' other contestants.
Fans of the show who might be tempted to take part in the third series are being encouraged to apply for the show.
The BBC has yet to announce when The Traitors will return to our TV screens for series two, but last year's series started on 29th November 2022, so it probably won't be too much longer until we get our fix of The Traitors!
In the meantime, The Traitors series one, The Traitors USA and The Traitors Australia are all available to stream on iPlayer.
