Teenage pedestrian dies after car crash in Hertfordshire

It happened on the A505 Beech Hill at Lilley in the early hours of this morning.

A teenage pedestrian has died after a car crash on the A505 Beech Hill in Hertfordshire in the early hours of this morning.

Police are appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage following the incident at Lilley.

A black Kia Sorento and male pedestrian were in collision on Beech Hill at 1.48am today (28/4).

Officers and the East of England Ambulance Service attended, however the pedestrian, aged 17, sadly died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

The driver remained at the scene and assisted officers with enquiries.

Sergeant Tim Davies, of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the person who sadly died in this collision.

“We are working to establish the circumstances of the incident and would like to hear from anyone, who has not already been in touch, that saw the collision, has dash cam footage or saw either the pedestrian or the vehicle prior to the collision."
