Police say a car stolen in Hawick last week may have been taken to Edinburgh.

The white Skoda Kodiaq had been parked in the Hislop Gardens area of town in the Borders when it is believed to have disappeared, in the early hours of Friday morning (March 22nd).

It follows similar thefts in Stow and Lauder earlier in the week, when thieves entered properties and stole the keys.

Around the same time, a suspicious vehicle was reported "apparently paying particular attention to farm buildings" in the Jedburgh area.

The 13-plate red Nissan Qashqai had two men inside.
