Tools worth £2,700 stolen from van parked near Ayton Castle

Thousands of pounds worth of tools have been stolen after a van parked near Ayton Castle was broken into.

The black Ford Transit was targeted next to the B6335 around 6.45pm on Friday evening (September 1st).

Police have today issued an appeal for information.

A spokesperson said: "Tools to the value of around £2700 were stolen.

"Anyone who saw anything suspicious or who has relevant Dashcam or CCTV footage from the area between 6pm and 8pm on Friday evening is asked to get in touch.

"Callers can contact police on 101 and quote reference number 4122 of Friday, September 1st, 2023. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
