Warning of fourth day of delays on A30 after car fire caused 'extensive damage'

Drivers could face a fourth day of delays on the A30 in north Cornwall following a huge fire.
A lane closure remains in force between Bodmin and Colliford Lake, after flames engulfed a car towing a caravan.
Highways England South West says Friday's blaze caused extensive damage to the eastbound carriageway.
That requires major resurfacing work, which is due to be carried out on Monday night (5th July).
On Saturday afternoon, Highways England South West said delays of up to 30 minutes were being reported.
It is urging drivers to allow extra time or find an alternative route: "Drivers wishing to use the eastbound A30 are advised of heavy congestion in the area due a lane closure to the west of Temple, between Bodmin and Colliford Lake.
"This is due to a vehicle fire which has caused extensive damage to the road surface, which will need a large amount of resurfacing.
"An inspection has taken place, and due to the sheer amount of resurfacing needed, this work will take place on Monday evening, meaning the eastbound lane closure will remain in place until Tuesday morning".

As of 7am on Monday 5th July, Inrix Traffic and Travel said: "One lane closed due to emergency repairs on A30 Eastbound after Preeze Cross. Traffic is coping well.
"Lane one (of two) remains closed".
