A car has been safely removed from the side of a bungalow in a Devon village - after crashing into it.

Teams were called to the scene in Uffculme at 10.08am yesterday morning (Thursday 30 June).

Cullompton Fire Station say both the occupants of the car and home were not seriously injured.

Crews have made the building as safe as possible.

A statement on the Devon and Somerset Fire Rescue Service website said: "Crews from Cullompton and our Urban Search and Rescue team from Clyst St George attended an incident where a car had collided with domestic premises.

"Crews shored up the building to allow for the safe extraction of the vehicle which was achieved using a tirfor winch, acro-props, and one hose reel jet.

"Crews made the building and vehicle as safe as possible and have now left the scene."
