The service made it easier for residents to get rid of bulky household waste, but hasn't been running since the pandemic started.

The council today voted on ending the contract with the supplier early to save money.

Councillor Alistair Dewhirst told today's virtual executive meeting it was with a 'heavy heart' that the decision was made, having used the service himself in the past.

Teignbridge was the only council area in Devon to have offered the unique service.
