Man left with life-threatening injuries after collision in Plymouth

A man has been left with life-threatening injuries after a collision in Plymouth.

Devon and Cornwall Police were notified at around 2.10am this morning (Saturday 7 January) to reports of a serious collision involving a single vehicle.

It happened on Embankment Road.

Emergency Services attended the scene and closures were put in place.

A male driver was extracted from the vehicle and taken to Derriford Hospital by land ambulance.

Officers say his injuries are believed to be life-threatening and his next of kin have been informed.

The road is currently closed but due to be opened shortly.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them, quoting log 59 07/01/23.
