Body found in search for missing Bournemouth man

Dorset Police were concerned for Marco Bianchi's welfare

Police searching for missing Bournemouth man Marco Bianchi say they're found a body.

Officers were alerted to the 56 year old's disappearance yesterday evening (Tuesday 7th March), with concerns for his welfare.

Following searches by local officers, the body of a man was discovered in the Kimmeridge area at around 11.30 this morning (Wednesday 8th March).

While formal identification has yet to take place, it is believed to be Marco.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

Chief Inspector Greg Tansill, of Dorset Police, said:

“Marco’s family has been updated with this very sad development and our thoughts go out to his loved ones at this extremely difficult time.

“I would like to thank all those who assisted with the search efforts and members of the public who responded to our appeals for information.”
