Man arrested after collision in Hull

A man was hurt in the two-car crash yesterday evening.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a collision in Hull.

Humberside Police say they were called to reports of two cars, a black BMW and black Mazda, colliding in Ferensway at the junction with Anlaby Road at around 6.15pm on Monday 29 April.

One man, who was in the Mazda at the time of the collision, was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

A man and a woman, who were in the BMW at the time, fled the scene on foot.

Officers carried out a search and a 31-year-old man was arrested nearby a short time later he remains in our custody whilst enquiries continue.

Anyone that witnessed the collision or has CCTV or Dashcam footage from the area at the time is asked to call the force's non-emergency 101 line quoting log 403 of 29 April.
