Police are in attendance at Royal Dock in Grimsby after reports of a body being found on a boat.

Detectives say they're in the very early stages of their investigation and are following lines of enquiry to identify the man.

His death is currently being treated as unexplained.

Detective Inspector Tom Kelly said:

“We are in the very early stages of our investigation and we are following lines of enquiry to identify the man, whose death is currently being treated as unexplained.

“A scene guard remains in place whilst we seek to establish the circumstances leading up to the man’s death, and those in the area can expect to see an increased police presence."

Humberside Police have said:

"Anyone with information that may assist with our enquiries can contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 270 of 2 May.

"You can also report information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111".
