Two men injured in Edinburgh assault
Police are appealing for information after the Friday night assault in Southhouse Square
Two men are recovering after being assaulted in Edinburgh on Friday evening.
Police were called to Southhouse Square at 8.35pm, after reports of a disturbance involving several men.
A 35 year old was seriously injured and taken to the Royal Infirmary for treatment, while a 24 year old also sought treatment.
Police have discovered a black BMW was also stolen, with the registration plate YF13 OWK, and officers are asking people with dash cams to come forward if their footage could help investigations.
Detective Sergeant Steven Dick said: âI am appealing to anyone who was in the Southhouse Square area last night.
âThe motive for these attacks is unknown and it is imperative we trace those responsible.
âOur enquiries have revealed that a group of up to five men were involved in a disturbance, which has resulted in two men being seriously injured.
âI would ask anyone who has any information regarding this incident to contact us.â
