Greatest Hits Radio Live 2023: A look back at our incredible event
What a night!
Greatest Hits Radio Live 2023 took place on Friday 24th November - and what a night it was! Ken Bruce hosted his first show at the iconic London Palladium last weekend; the house was sold out and ready to party!
We saw roof-raising performances from Paul Carrack and OMD plus many more, and even paid tribute to music legend Tina Turner. Take a look back at the biggest moments here - and, rest assured, you'll be able to listen back to Greatest Hits Radio Live 2023 on Boxing Day (26th Dec).
Who performed at Greatest Hits Radio Live?
We saw incredible performances at the show from OMD, who raised the roof with plenty of hits including 'Enola Gay' and 'Sailing On The Seven Seas', plus fan favourite Paul Carrack who performed chart-topping tracks 'How Long' and 'Over My Shoulder'.
West End star Ian McIntosh - who previously performed in We Will Rock You as Galileo - also paid tribute to the music of Queen with a haunting rendition of 'The Show Must Go On', and we also saw The Greatest Hits Radio Band with special guest vocalists Ashton Jones and Sharlene Hector take to the stage, as well as Jersey Boys star Luke Suri performing as Frankie Valli.
Earlier this year, the world of music lost one of its all-time greats, and it felt right to recognise Tina Turner and her astounding career - especially as she would have turned 84 last weekend (26th Nov). In a showstopping moment, Elesha Paul Moses from Tina: The Tina Turner Musical celebrated her life with a spine-tingling performance of '(Simply) The Best'.
