Earlier this year, it was revealed that David Bowie would be getting another waxwork at Madame Tussauds, and now a video showcasing the new addition to their new music zone has been released.

This latest David Bowie figure will complete the impossible line up at Madame Tussaud London's new music festival experience, along with the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Ed Sheeran, Amy Winehouse and Freddie Mercury.

This new waxwork of the 'Ashes to Ashes' singer will be based on his infamous alter ego, Ziggy Stardust, with red hair, wearing a cosmic jumpsuit and celestial make-up which he was famous for in the 1970s.

The area, which has been revamped to created an access all areas pass to the ultimate music festival, will allow fans to get a snap with rock and pop legends in a 60s and 70s tent as well as hanging backstage in the glam tent with pop stars of today.

Speaking about the new addition, Tim Waters, General Manager at Madame Tussauds London said: "David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust transcends generations and music genres, making him the ultimate headliner to launch our new Music Festival zone. We were honoured to work with his estate in what would have been his 75th year and play our small part in keeping his inimitable legacy alive for generations to come."

The Music Festival experience will be available to visit from 1st April.

David originally sat for measurements back in 1983, and this latest waxwork will be the second made of the singer. He was deeply involved in the original creation of his likeness, sitting for hundreds of precise measurements, hair and skin colour references to ensure complete accuracy.
