18-year-old in life-threatening condition after Chelmsford assault
Police were called to Avon Road last night
An 18-year-old has been seriously injured in an assault in Chelmsford.
Essex Police were called to Avon Road around 8:25pm last night, where paramedics treated the man.
He was then taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Officers and the emergency services stayed on the scene, as well as a nearby field, for several hours.
An appeal for footage has been launched.
