Two teenagers charged over Chelmsford stabbing

Two teenagers have been charged with GBH with intent following work by detectives into a stabbing in Chelmsford.

Police were called to Avon Road at about 8.25pm on Tuesday (30 April) to reports of an assault where an 18-year-old was left with life-threatening injuries.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before he was taken to hospital.

His condition is no longer believed to be life-threatening.

Two 16 year-old boys from Chelmsford were arrested the following day and have now been charged with GBH with intent.

They’re both due at Colchester Magistrates’ Court today (Friday 3 May).
