Shrove Tuesday brings pancake fun to Dursley

People took to the streets of Dursley to participate in this year's pancake day race.

Racers met at Parsonage Street at midday for the annual tradition. And the wet weather did not put off the competitors who were looking for a flipping good time.

Fancy dress was encouraged and two unicorns who represented Dursley Pride were awarded the trophy for the best fancy dress costume.

Due to Pancake Day coinciding with the school holiday a Children's Race was held and was won by Betsy Bailey. All entrants received a special pancake race medal for taking part.
