Two teenage girls from Lancashire assaulted in the Lake District

The incident happened in Bowness-on-Windermere on Saturday

Police are investigating a fight which occurred around 6pm on Saturday 11 May near to Glebe Road on the promenade at Bowness in Windermere.

Two 17-year-old girls from Lancashire were approached by a group of four teenage girls wearing shorts and crop tops who assaulted the two girls.

One victim was pushed over a fence and the other victim was pulled to the ground by the hair and kicked and punched.

A male intervened and was assaulted by the same group who pushed and slapped him.
