Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue had a busy night yesterday, with over 40 999 calls in four hours.

They said it was the 'usual incidents for this time of year'.

They urged the public to only call them if they saw a bonfire that was out of control or had nobody with it.

The service also joked, implying that some people were calling up about loud bangs and flashes.
