The quick-thinking response of people around Torquay Marina has been praised after a boat fire this morning.
People rushed to help out and stop the flames spreading - before the four fire engines arrived.
A person’s been taken to hospital with burns, described as superficial.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews were called to a fire in Torquay inner harbour at 8:40am. Firefighters extinguished the blaze but the vessel was totally destroyed.
"The incident was believed to be accidental ignition."
