Jacqui Darlington from Oakham has recieved a British Empire Medal.
Amongst many other things, she's started the ‘Out of Hours Club’ six years ago to allow young adults with additional needs to learn to behave appropriately in adult situations, helped with care home inspections and supported young people's mental health.
She says it was very unexpected
Also honoured are Matt Hampson from Cold Overton who receives an MBE whilst Governor of Stocken Prison Neil Thomas from Essendine has also been honoured.
