Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
It's after reports a woman was stabbed in Oakham.
Police were called out around 9pm yesterday night to BullFinch close.
The 36 year was taken to Nottinghamâs Queenâs Medical Centre for treatment.
She remains in hospital where her condition is described as critical but stable.
Two men, 25 and 47, remain in police custody.
Detective Inspector Mark Parish is investigating.
He said: âA woman is in hospital undergoing medical treatment and we are determined to find out what happened.
âFrom enquiries carried out so far we believe an argument took place inside the address.
"At this stage in the investigation we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.â
