With increasing numbers of local people worried about the cost-of-living crisis, and needing information and advice, Wiltshire Council’s Wiltshire Wellbeing Hub is there for anyone who requires it.

The hub was originally set-up at the start of the Coronavirus pandemic to provide information and advice.

Anyone can access the hub for confidential advice, information, and signposting from the council’s team about the current high cost of living.

Cllr Richard Clewer, Leader of Wiltshire Council, said:

“Just like during the height of the pandemic, the cost-of-living crisis is likely to affect most people one way or another. We really don’t want people to suffer in silence so if anyone needs us, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. No query is too small, and our dedicated team will do what they can to help and ensure people have the information they need."

“The cost-of-living crisis is likely to affect people who perhaps haven’t required support before, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch.”

“The hub supported thousands of people during the pandemic and our warm and friendly team are standing by and ready to help again.”

The hub is open for phone calls Monday to Thursday - 9am to 5pm, and Friday - 9am to 4pm. Call it on 0300 003 4576 or email wellbeinghub@wiltshire.gov.uk

If you do find yourself in some sort of financial difficulty, seek help as early as possible. Citizen’s Advice Wiltshire provides lots of advice and support.

Wiltshire Council also recently set-up an interactive community directory which informs people where their nearest warm space and local community food providers are by just selecting their postcode area. The council also confirmed its libraries are providing people a warm and friendly welcome to those who need it this winter by becoming warm spaces. More information about Wiltshire Council’s warm spaces service is here.

Wiltshire Council's also collated a range of information and guidance on a variety of cost-of-living related topics such as energy, council tax and benefits, housing information, the support of local partner agencies, and advice on mental health. There's also a section dedicated to support and advice for businesses. Wiltshire Council’s cost of living support information is here.
