Fire crews rescue person stuck in mud and water in Somerset

Fire crews have rescued a person stuck waist deep in around 4ft of mud and water situated 5ft below ground level.
Two appliances from Burnham-on-Sea attended backed up with a water rescue team from Chippenham
Crews removed an area of hedge for access and rescued the person using a ladder lowered down the bank.
The water rescue team were returned to station and an ambulance crew attended to check the casualty for any injuries.
