The Met Office is warning of travel disruption and some flooding after issuing two yellow warnings for thunderstorms.

Heavy rain is expected according to the first of the warnings, which covers Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight between 8.00pm tonight and 8.00am tomorrow.

Thunderstorms are likely in Sussex and Kent, which are covered by the second warning that comes into effect at 11.00pm and lasts until 6.00am tomorrow.

There will be a risk of travel disruption, sudden flooding and lightning strikes in both warning areas, the Met Office said.

It said there is also a chance of hail and strong winds.
