A jury has been sworn in for the trial of a Suffolk man accused of murdering another man in Sutton Heath.

37-year-old Richard Hunt from Ipswich, died of stab wounds to the heart and lung in Ipswich Avenue, Sutton Heath on 8 October 2023.

Jay Cotterill, who's 42 and of Ipswich Avenue, was charged with his murder and assault causing actual bodily harm of a female victim later that day.

In January this year, he pleaded not guilty to the charges during an appearance at the same court.

The trial, at Ipswich Crown Court, is expected to last around two weeks.
