Adventurers can get some Winter thrills with a selection of rides and attractions available or wish the brrrilliant animals a Merry Christmas! With the help of jolly elves and reindeers, meet Father Christmas in his log fire grotto and enjoy all the Christmas cheer that a traditional panto and seasonal sounds of the carollers have to offer.

Meet Father Christmas
Ho Ho Ho! Watch out for reindeer and a festive sleigh as a VIP from the north pole returns to Chessington World of Adventures Resort for another festive season!
Families visiting Winter’s Tail up until 24th December will meet Father Christmas. Guided by one of his jolly elves, make your way into a snowy woodland before stepping foot into Father Christmas’ charming grotto. Then head over to his top-secret Toy Workshop where children will receive an early Christmas gift!
Every full price ticket to Winter’s Tail between 25th November – 24th December includes entry to Father Christmas’ Grotto and Toy Workshop. You must select a grotto timeslot during the ticket booking process, the grotto slot refers to the time you will enter the grotto queue line. Father Christmas’ Grotto and Toy Workshop are not available between 27th December - 30th December.
NEW for 2023: Enchanted Hollow - Letters to Father Christmas
There’s nothing the residents of Enchanted Holllow love more than the festive cheer of Winter’s Tail. It’s the countdown of the townsfolk’s first Christmas at Chessington World of Adventures so stop by and wish them a Merry Christmas. Pass through the town and visit all the residents to collect their letters to Father Christmas! They were in such a rush to get the town feeling as Christmassy as possible, they haven’t made it to the post office in time. As a special reward for helping the residents, you may just get a sweet treat in return. They can’t wait to meet you and show you around their festive hollow!
The WILD Christmas Panto: Jack & the Beanstalk
Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum! A GIANT Panto is coming to the Mane Stage. Oh no it isn’t, oh yes it is! It wouldn’t be Christmas without a Panto, so get ready to boo, cheer and dance your way through this festive season over on the Mane Stage all part of the Winter’s Tail entertainment line up!
Winter Thrills
Enjoy a selection of your favourite rides and attractions at Winter's Tail, which you can ride in the dark on selected dates! Find your sea legs on Trawler Trouble, fly high into the sky with Elmer’s Flying Jumbos, or if you’re feeling brave, step into the jungle and dodge the hazards that await on Mandrill Mayhem!
YULE also encounter incredible animals!
From Rothschild giraffes, Grevy’s zebra, Western Lowland gorillas, Asiatic lions and Humboldt penguins – there’s over 1000+ animals in the Zoo and SEA LIFE to experience this Christmas. So come along and wish them a very Merry Christmas!
