A man is set to cycle 600 miles from his home in Godalming to Land's End in Cornwall for charity - with E.T. by his side.

21 year-old Josh Garman will be heading off at 1pm today (12 September) and hopes to arrive in Land's End in three weeks' time.

He is doing it to raise £3,000 for charity Hope for Hasti, which raises funds and commissions research to create a gene therapy for a rare genetic disorder called Cornelia de Lange syndrome.

E.T. will be joining Josh on the 600 mile charity bike ride

But, Josh will not be cycling alone as he will be joined by E.T.

Inspired by the hit 1982 sci-fi film, E.T. will be sitting in a basket attached to the front of Josh's bike.

The route the pair will be taking

Josh said he hopes to "bring some magic back into people's lives, while raising some money and awareness for a wonderful cause".

Donations can be made online via Josh's JustGiving page.
